(Vancouver, September 5, 2008) Global National with Kevin Newman broadcasts a live election call special on Sunday, September 7th beginning at 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT, providing Canadians with up-to-the-second comprehensive coverage of the federal election call expected from Prime Minister Stephen Harper, potentially launching the 40th general election in Canadian history.
Broadcasting from Rideau Hall, the historic residence of the Governor General, Global National is the election headquarters where Canadians can get live analysis from political experts and real-world perspective with reporters breaking down major issues. Global National will be covering the election campaigns extensively building up to election night.
Joining Newman for this live broadcast is renowned National Post editor and columnist Diane Francis, political columnist Don Martin and Wilfred Laurier politics professor Barry Kay providing commentary. Plus Darrell Bricker from Ipsos-Reid unveils exclusive poll results about Canadians’ attitudes on the election. Global National reporters will have live reaction from across the country.
